| Clifton Rugby 09 - 10 Season |
 Following Clifton's successful 08-09 season, preparations are well under way for the new challenge of National 2 South.
Pre-season training has started and is held at the club every Tuesday and Thursday starting at 6:30. Five games have been arranged against Newbury, Bristol, Barton Hill, Taunton and Clevedon before Clifton take on Rosslyn Park in their first National 2 game on 5th September. The Annual General Meeting of Clifton Rugby Football Club
Richard Clifton agreed to act as Club chairman for one year and he has indicated that he will not stand again, due to other personal commitments. I am pleased to announce that we have two very able candidates standing for election of Chairman for 2009 - 2010 - Andy Sayner and Steve White. A ballot will be held at the AGM for all PAID UP members, those who have not paid a subscription will not be eligible to vote at this election or any other motion to be debated. Should any other member wish to stand for this office or any other Committee position, a letter of nomination should be sent to my home address, indicating willingness to stand by 27th JUNE 2009. The AGM will take place on MONDAY 27th JULY at 7pm in the Function Room of the Clubhouse. It has been decided to change the day of the meeting from a Sunday morning to a weekday evening to enable more members to attend. Latest News

On 31st May Beverly Smith left the club after working for the past thirteen years as caterer and Steward, we thank her for her service and wish her well for the future.
Our new contractors, J & S Event Caterers, have been caterers to the Bristol University Sports complex at Combe Dingle and laterley have been caterers to Bristol Rugby. |
