Clifton Ladies Rugby was founded in 1984-85 after a one-off charity match against Weston Hornets and evolved into Bristol Ladies Rugby, some 22 years later, at the end of the 2006/07 season.
Clifton Ladies were prolific during their lifetime, seeing them win promotion from the Championship to the Premiership where in 2000/01 they won the Premiership league title for the first time in the club's history after beating Waterloo 83-5 in their final game.
The legacy of Clifton and Bristol Ladies Rugby continues to inspire our next generation, recently seeing our Girls section called the Banshees founded once again at Clifton for the first time in over seven years (2016/17 season)
Now in our fourth season 19/20 We have an amazing and talented group of girls already which some of are members of this past seasons Gloucestershire County Team and we train on Monday's evenings.
MEMBERSHIP IS ONLY £1 THIS SEASON
We will always welcome new girls, whether they've played before or not to our U13 & U15 squads. For more information about the Clifton Banshees please contact the club directly.
