Thank you Wilson

Former Captain to leave Station Road at the end of the season.

Tom Wilson will leave Clifton Rugby at the end of the season following a hugely successful spell at Station Road which saw him captain the club over 3 seasons and be at the forefront of Clifton’s ascent to the top end of the table.

A hard working, no-nonsense flanker who is equally happy in the second row, Tom has embodied the spirit of the club and has never taken a backward step. He works tirelessly every session and has been one of the key leaders in Matt Salter’s side.

When we signed Tom, I spoke with his old head coach at Cardiff Uni and he said he had never coached a boy like him. His work-rate, his consistency and ethic. When he turned up, we all saw it. He drives so much on and off the field and his commitment to the club is second to none.

Look at his injury against Dings; he popped his AC joint, but played on and then was working everyday to get back fit. He was back within 3 months and he still plays in pain - boys like that are rare and we are gonna miss him. He is a big character off the field here and the boys love him.
Mike Barber, Assistant Coach

Wilson departs to take on a new opportunity in Australia and all at the club wish him the very best in his new venture. Thank you Tom!!
