It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Colin McFadyean. Born in Plymouth, Colin attended Bristol Grammar School and made his Clifton debut on tour in France against Stade Marmade, where he scored two tries.
A natural leader, he captained Loughborough College in the 1965 Middlesex Sevens final and won 11 caps for England, leading the team in his final two appearances. He also captained Moseley and toured with the British & Irish Lions in 1966. Beyond rugby, Colin dedicated his career to education, serving as Head Coach at Bristol & Cleve and later as Head of Ilminster Avenue Primary School in Bristol. He will be sorely missed.
We also share details of Keith Bonham’s Thanksgiving Service, which will be held at St Peter’s Church, Henleaze, on Monday 7th April at 11:30 am.
Our thoughts are with their families, friends, and all who knew them.
