Bullimore and Spencer return, Selway on bench for derby

The boys reacted last week, they went hard at Stourbridge from the off and it needs replicating this week
- Matt Salter, Head Coach

Charlie Bullimore and Mitch Spencer come back into the starting 15 for Clifton's second local derby in 3 weeks, as they head over to Scotland Lane to face a resurgent Old Reds side.

Spencer comes into the side following the birth of his daughter last week whilst Bullimore returns after sustaining an injury in the opening round against Loughborough.

Dave Wheeler continues at Hooker alongside the recalled Alex Giltrow. Henry Harper continues in the second row with Freddie Myatt and there is no change in the back row with Dan Wells, Max Woodward and Dan Broady continuing after their strong showing last week.

Spencer renews his partnership with Luke Cozens, whilst the backline is unchanged from last weeks win against Stourbridge with Marcus Nel captaining the die from 12, Will Owen at 13 and Alex Kilbane and Fin Sharp occupy the wings with Alex Howman at full back.

The bench sees Bears Rhys Charalambous join Nick Selway, Ed Grinsted, Zak Ward and Zak Hamid.

Matt Salter will be keen to see his side continue to build on last weeks result following their loss to Dings in Round 2 and his side are determined to ensure they don't make the same mistakes they did at Shaftesbury Park.

"We gave Dings a 21 point head start - they came at us hard and we folded. We need to ensure we bring that intensity right from the start. The boys reacted last week, they went hard at Stourbridge from the off, it needs replicating again. Reds have gone well, they gave Dings a hard time last week and Saturday we expect the same - they will be physical and come at us to play. We have worked hard all week with intensity and desire being right at the front of everything we do - that needs to be non-negotiable Saturday."
