Clifton have re-signed winger Will Pomphrey as he comes out of retirement for the forthcoming season. He retired at the end of the 2018/2019 season after making over 180 league appearances and having scored 80 tries over a long career at Station Road, both National 2 records for a Clifton player.
Pomphrey is also one of the top ten try scorers in National League 2 to date. His stats continued to impress over his final season, despite injuries preventing more game time, scoring 15 tries in 15 appearances.
He re-joins a squad which has an exciting back division and with some further quality signings to be announced this week, will surely provide some very real attacking threats for the lavender and blacks.
Clifton will be announcing further signings throughout the week.
