Paddy Pearce will pull on a senior Clifton jersey this afternoon when he runs out against Hornets at the nest. It’s somewhat symbolic afternoon for the young England U18 and Bristol Bears second row as he will pack down with fellow Bear Joe Owen.
Pearce, son of ex Bristol Ed Pearce, has worn lavender and black his whole career. Having started out as a mini then progressing to be a junior at Station Road he captained Bristol U18 last season to a memorable U18 championship win and is part of a young breed of Bear Cubs that includes Owen, himself a player who counts Clifton as his senior club having signed in 2021, that are coming through the system.
“It’s a good day for Paddy. He’s a great young man and has thrived in the shears environment for a while now and this Saturday will be a great step up for him as he makes his senior debut for Clifton and the next step in his journey. We’re excited to see what he and Joe can produce in a powerful pack against Hornets today”
