Clifton's strong start to the season came to a halt last weekend after a 42-25 defeat to Old Elthamians. Despite this defeat, Clifton will now turn their attentions to this weekends opponents Barnes, and try to pick up their third win of the season.

Last weekends defeat had but the brakes on what had been a strong start. Despite the loss, there are some positives to take away from the game. Having scored twenty five points away from home, the teams attacking capabilities shone through.

After being promoted at the start of the season, Barnes currently sit in 13th having lost their opening 3 games. Despite their start, they are a team that cannot be underestimated, and will be looking to turn their form around this weekend.

Head Coach Matt Salter had this to say about this weekends visitors 'Barnes have an expansive style of rugby, and we can probably expect that this weekend. They are due a win at some point, so we're being very careful to not be the team that hands them that win.'
