Clifton Rugby can confirm that 1st XV captain Chris Levesley will leave the club before the start of the new season. Levelsey's impact on the club has been notable, with his on-field and off-field leadership being a key factor in the club's rise in the last 2 seasons.

Levesley signed for Clifton from Ebbw Vale in 2017 and last season, switched to centre where his ability to make countless gainline breaks and evasive runs earned him a place in the National 2 Team of The Season. His departure comes as he takes up a new career opportunity in London starting shortly.

"Levs has been incredible for us, he has been a focal part of the building process as to the type of club we want to be and how we play on the field. He reads the game well and his ability is without question - he will be sorely missed but we understand his reasons for moving to London and we wish him all the very best for the future."
