Clifton have signed Kieran Ward ahead of the new season as they continue to add to their ranks for the forthcoming campaign.
Ward featured heavily for cross-city rivals Old Reds since their promotion to National 2 and his abrasive play as well as his ability at set piece was a key factor in Clifton seeking the services of the Hooker.
"His set piece is very good and he knows his way around the park - he has worked hard since he landed for pre-season way back in June and we are already seeing him play an important role in the squad. He's abrasive and it gives us great options with him and Jack (Williams) going into the season."
Matt Salter, Head Coach
Clifton have continued to add to their squad, as well as retaining well over 95% of last seasons personnel as they seek to hit the ground running when the season is given the green light to start.
"Obviously with moving to stage D we can start to develop a bit more structure and flesh out the details of our game. The boys have been great, the new signings have slotted right in and look at home, it is exciting, and we are looking forward to getting going, whenever that may be."
Clifton will be announcing more signings shortly as they begin the wind up for the 2020/21 season.
