Great effort from all the guys at Keynsham.

A really great time was had by all at Keynsham.

Real progress was made by all 4 teams and Russ' blood pressure has returned to near normal!

10 Things I'll remember -

1) Not to drive there in a car with low suspension
2) When Theodore says "no-one is passing to me" that means he'll have a brace within 60 seconds
3) Archie hits a groove for 10 tries in two games!
4) Will Hambly has a wicked swerve and put the whole of Cleve on their backsides (see the photos)
5) Lydney managed to penalise themselves - wouldn't even pass to their own team! Kevin had to get all firm and masterful!
6) Cleve 1s are good and Wellington's even better but I think our balanced approach wins every time - the improvements made by all players are a reflection of that. The excellent results for U10's-12s show that the "big team" approach is best.
7) Alex is like the Road Runner (with more "Beep Beep") - again, watch the video clips!
8) Jack has kamikaze tendancies - leaping through colliding defenders to score against Chew Valley. Banzai!
9) Gum guards are a good idea when you have most of your "older" teeth but boys, please stop fiddling with them!
10) Freddie and Ozzie are a formidable combination!

Well done too to a number of the newer players - Jonty stood out for me as someone who's started his Clifton career with a bang.

We got very confused when Clifton played Clifton though! First outing of the season for the lilac change strip, Malachy worked that look the best.

No player of the week this time on behalf of the coaches - so I'm going to nominate my favourite guy - Vinnie, you were a star, always there in support, always backing up, a grizzler in the tackle , totally In-Vin-cible. (One boy came round to score in the corner and saw you, he looked like he was going to cry with panic). Keep up that attitude and in 10 years time yours will be one of the first names we'll be looking for every week, well done!
