It is with great pleasure that we can announce that our Under 16s and our Under 14s sides have successfully made their way into the Gloucestershire County Cup (GCC) final this Sunday. This is in addition to our senior 1st XV representing the club in the Bristol Combination Cup Final this coming Tuesday night (2nd May 2017).
For many years Clifton Rugby has had a well established minis and junior section and the quality of rugby players extends right through from our under 7s through to our 1st XV. The club's Under 14s side will kick off this Sunday at 11.00am at Hartpury College and shortly after the Under 16s will kick off at 2.30pm. We wish them well in their performance and are hopeful for a double victory.
On Tuesday 2nd May our senior 1st XV will be returning to the Bristol Memorial Ground to face local rival club Old Redcliffians (Old Reds) in the Bristol Combination Cup Final. Old Reds have this year successfully gained promotion into the highly competitive National League Two (South). Subsequently meaning that the two sides, Clifton and Old Reds, will face each other twice next year as they battle it out for league position. This will make Tuesday night's encounter very competitive and a match not to be miss.
The Bristol Combination Cup Final kick off time is 7.45pm at the Bristol Memorial Ground, home of football side Bristol Rovers.
Tickets will be available on the gate. We look forward to this evening and hope to see you there too.
